✈︎ First Class Travel Tip:

Best option for cell service abroad

In our marriage, Geo is the saver and I’m, well, not.

So much so, that in our earlier days of traveling, Geo would omit using his cell phone all together while on the trip to save money.

My standard traveling practice has always been to switch off airplane mode as soon as the wheels touchdown in a new destination. At which time I’m almost immediately greeted with an auto text kindly welcoming me to said new country and letting me know my daily international service rate for usage has begun.

Historically, in my pre-marriage travel days, I’d pick up a local SIM card at the airport once I arrived, which would give me access to local rates and usually better data speeds. This works ok, but it does require a number change which can be annoying and I also don’t like not being all set up with a phone plan ahead of time.

One of the easiest, and more cost effective options is using an eSIM service like Airalo. With this option you can download a plan before you even leave home, allowing you to switch between countries and plans instantly without swapping out a physical SIM card. It's super convenient and low cost. It has always been our go-to.

Now, I don’t want to be hypocritical- and this post isn’t sponsored- but we don’t use Airalo now because last year we opted to switch our phone carrier to T-mobile based on the fact that they have a great international phone plan.

Regardless, figuring out how to use your phone situation when traveling abroad can be stressful, and if you’re not careful, expensive. This eSimm option is perfect, simple solution.

2 Cards Charging 0% Interest Until 2026

Paying down your credit card balance can be tough with the majority of your payment going to interest. Avoid interest charges for up to 18 months with these cards.

✈︎ The Informed Traveler

Where my ladies at?

Before I was married, I traveled to some pretty far away places as a solo female traveler. Looking back, sometimes I surprise myself with where I opted to explore and feel quite grateful that things always worked out safely for me.

I recognize that times are different than they were some 20 years ago, and I don’t travel nearly as often as a solo traveler, nonetheless I truly believe that women should always feel empowered to travel wherever their hearts are calling.
