Action needed: Freeze your credit reports NOW
Good morning ☀️ from Booked It On Points: A curated collection to keep you traveling for less money and more know how 👊🏽
Let’s dive in.
Here’s what’s on today—

Some obvious travel advice
…Including a unique perspective on why time speeds up the older we get (tip #30) and why some may be “better” travelers than others (tip #41)
✈︎ Flight Deal
Business class your way to flamenco and tapas
📉 When I found this flight, it was 50k points to fly lie flat in business class from New York to Spain. That’s an amazing way to spend some CC points, however I did it even better for you! There is a 25% transfer bonus going on with Capital One which means this flight only costs 37k in points. Transfer your valuable “blue bank” points- (which I explain in the business card portion below), or Capital One miles, or even points from this card- you have plenty of transfer options for this one!
✈︎ Points + Miles
TOP STORY: Why you may be a business owner and not even realize it + my favorite small business credit cards
There is a lot of talk in the points + miles world about signing up for business cards. Before you breeze over this because you assume it’s not relative to you, hear me out.
Business cards are super valuable for bringing in A LOT of points with large welcome offers. While they may also require higher minimum spend in some cases, if you can handle that amount, they are a highly critical part of earning points.
First things first, let’s see if you may just be a business owner, after all:
→ Have you ever post an item on Facebook market place to sell? Perhaps furniture, children’s toys or old house decor? Business owner ✅
→ Or perhaps you babysit, petsit or housesit for a small fee? Business owner ✅
Other business ideas:
Etsy shop ✅
Blogger ✅
Tutoring ✅
Uber driver ✅
Own a rental property ✅
These (and more!) all count as a business. NOW is the time to start a business.
The easiest way to apply for a business card is as a SOLE PROPRIETOR and therefore all you use is your Social Security number when applying. NOTHING ELSE.
So take a think on this idea and if you don’t already have a small business, why not think outside the box? There is no need for proof of income, or have some established LLC. In fact, I started this business as a blogger and got my first business card, no problemo! In fact, I have 3 of these business cards all within this one business!
These are my favorite business cards, especially for small business owners. One welcome offer can value at over $1k in travel. We’re talking free flights and accommodations when you transfer to any of their transfer partners:
All of these accept points from the business cards I mention above
These business cards are among my favorite due to their abundance of transfer partners and high welcome offers when signing up.

Action Needed→ Data breach, freeze your credit
You likely heard of the massive data breach recently reported. This is great example of why it’s so important to freeze your credit reports.
A freeze means that no one can access your report. So, if a scammer had your Social Security number and name, they would be unable to open a new credit card with your information, instead they would get denied.
This is good credit practice to have in place as default and that’s why I recommend freezing all 3 credit reports: Experian, Transunion and Equifax. This process is FREE (don’t go for the upsells, they are NOT needed.)
When I go to apply for a new travel credit card, I simply request a “thaw” for the day, or if I forget, the bank alerts me and I simply request a re-process or call in for them to manually process.
Bottom line→ identity theft is a tumultuous experience, use this method to keep yourself safer from scammers by preventing anyone who isn’t you from opening new credit cards under your identity.
